Our History

Karuvan Vaidyar's Ayurvedic Journey

In the year 1900, Karuvan Vaidyar embarked on a transformative Ayurvedic journey, specializing in the ancient practice of Agatha Thandram – Toxicology. His dedication to understanding and treating toxic imbalances within the body laid the foundation for our center's commitment to holistic healing and wellness.

Establishment of Kannur Ayurvedic Pharmacy

In 1955, K.P. Balakrishnan Vaidyar established "Kannur Ayurvedic Pharmacy," a beacon of traditional healing. Alongside this, he introduced outpatient (OP) facilities in the picturesque town of Kalpetta, creating a space where individuals could access authentic Ayurvedic remedies and consultations.

Introduction of Specialized OP Clinics

Dr K P Vinod Babu, carrying forward the legacy, took a pioneering step in 1982 by introducing specialized outpatient (OP) clinics. By melding modern medical expertise with traditional practices, he opened the doors to a new era of integrated healthcare, ensuring patients received comprehensive and well-informed treatment.

In-Patient (IP) Section Inaugurated

A monumental year for our center was 1987, as we inaugurated the In-Patient (IP) section. This marked the expansion of our services to encompass a diverse range of Ayurvedic treatments, catering to the needs of those seeking intensive care and holistic rejuvenation.

Pathanjali - Pioneering Panchakarma and Yoga Center

In 1998, we took a significant stride by establishing "Pathanjali," our first block. This marked the inception of our Panchakarma therapy center, a dedicated space for detoxification and rejuvenation, as well as a Yoga research facility. It laid the groundwork for holistic wellness, combining ancient wisdom with scientific research.

Expansion with Krishna Block

The year 2002 witnessed the expansion of KAMSH with the introduction of the Krishna block. This modern facility was equipped with state-of-the-art amenities and a dedicated panchakarma theatre, enhancing our capacity to deliver comprehensive treatments while ensuring utmost patient comfort.

Lakshmi Block Enhancing Patient Care

In 2008, we introduced the Lakshmi block, a symbol of our commitment to patient care. This addition provided 10 well-appointed bedrooms and three advanced panchakarma theatres, allowing us to offer a wider spectrum of treatments and cater to a growing number of wellness seekers.

Introduction of Navarang - A Haven of Wellness

Navarang, introduced in 2010, stands as an embodiment of tranquility and well-being. This independent villa boasts six luxurious bedrooms and a dedicated yoga hall, offering a serene environment for individuals to embark on their holistic healing journey.

A pivotal moment arrived in 2020 when Dr Jenwin Vinod Babu, son of Dr K P Vinod Babu, a modern medicine consultant, joined our esteemed team. His incorporation brought an integration of contemporary medical practices, further enriching our center's approach to wellness and patient care.

Revitalizing Krishna Block
